With Christmas season on the near horizon, I’ve got festive bakes on the brain. But seriously, how is it already the 21st?!
For week 48, I’ve made a gingerbread cake. The recipe is simple to make, but the combination of the ginger, cloves and syrupy molasses give each bite a complex spiced caramelized finish.
To balance out the spice, I topped each slice with unsweetened freshly whipped cream. Mmmmmm.
As I wrap up the challenge (four more cakes left!), I’m going to keep my posts short. I’ve just about said everything there is to say about cake at this point!
